Grafton U3A April Jabberfest date change

With Easter Monday falling on the second Monday of the month the April Jabberfest will be held on the third Monday which is April 17 and will of course be held at the New Life Church in Arthur St commencing at 10am.

Session One will see the ‘Anzac Biscuit Bake Off’ where members are invited to submit three home made Anzac biscuits for judging by our two judges, Carole Kendell and Yvonne Tomlinson.

While the judges are making their decisions as to the best of the offerings the rest of us will be participating in a quiz on the topic of “Australians at War “.

After the morning tea break (when no doubt we will be consuming Anzac biscuits) the second session will be given over to our members contributing anecdotes of their enlisted relatives’ experiences of military life with each contribution being limited to two or three minutes

As you can gather the theme for the day will be centred around Anzac Day which will occur a little later in the month.

So, we are looking forward to an interesting morning with another great roll up of members.
