Grafton Senior Citizens – pie & pea day

Thirty two Grafton Senior Citizen members recently held their annual pie & pea day, this year, at a room at Headspace, where crockery, cutlery and oven were available.

The day began with morning tea of biscuits, followed by games of bingo, interspersed with trivia quiz, interesting facts, competitions and some funny stories.

Lunch was pie, mushy peas, mashed potato, carrot and gravy, followed by fresh fruit salad and ice cream.

The drawing of lucky door prizes completed day, with winners B. Parker; J. Schulz; M. Cotten; A. Swift; R. Worrell and J. Jones.

Members are reminded bookings for the barbecue on Monday July 22 are still being taken.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the mystery trip is now Friday July 5, with a few seats still available.

Remember, due to the July racing carnival, there is no meeting in July, but bookings for trips and activities can still be made with publicity officer, Sandra on 6642 7720.
