Grafton Senior Citizens – April coach trip

Grafton Senior Citizens recently held their April coach trip, to The Farm, Byron Bay, on a mild autumn day, with 30 passengers.

A picnic morning tea was enjoyed at a park at Woodburn, before continuing on to Byron Bay.

At The Farm, there was time to wander the venue, viewing animals, including highland cattle, pigs and chooks, produce, used in on – site restaurant, and browse the shop and plant nursery.

The group also enjoyed lunch there, some taking a picnic, others purchasing from restaurant.

Leaving The Farm, group travelled into Byron Bay township, through Suffolk Park, Lennox Head to Ballina, then west through Lismore to Casino, for afternoon refreshments.

Sincere thanks to coach captain, Tony, for a good day, to the committee for serving morning tea, and to members for support of the trip.

Our next bus trip is a scenic drive south to Stuarts Point and Scotts Head, at the end of May, with seats still available.

Tickets for the June trip to a mystery venue will go on sale at April meeting.

Details for the 7 day tour to Lake Macquarie area from August 16, has been finalised, but reserves will be noted.

A soup day, with a lunch of homemade soups, plus games and trivia, will be held in mid May, and bookings have just opened.

Enquiries and bookings, for trips and other activities, can be made at the Seniors room at the Racecourse, or at monthly meeting on the second Tuesday, or any Thursday morning, or with tour organiser / publicity officer, Sandra on 6642 7720. Remember the 7 day rule for trip cancellations. More support of all senior’s activities will ensure their continuation.
