Grafton Pony Club excel at LC Gymkhana

Congratulations to the riders of Grafton Pony Club who achieved amazing results at the Lower Clarence Gymkhana held on Sunday March 10 at Maclean.

Not only did the children excel in all disciplines; flat riding, sporting and showjumping, the riders also represented the club proudly in the March Past winning the best presented club on the day, taking home the Lloyd Watson and Harry Castle Memorial Shield and ribbon.

Congratulations also to Grafton Pony Club senior riders Amber Powell and Jackie Surwaski who achieved the two top fastest sporting awards.

President of Grafton Pony Club, Jodey Hill was thrilled with the number of riders competing on Sunday. “There was a real sense of pride and teamwork from the kids towards each other, it was lovely to see. Winning the March Past shield was a definite boost for the children and the club as a whole”.

Grafton Pony Club would like to thank Lower Clarence Pony Club for their hard work in holding their very successful gymkhana.

The next event for Grafton Pony Club is the Easter camp at Hawthorne Park, South Grafton. Plenty of horse riding, a ‘movie under the stars’ night and of course chocolate is all on the agenda. Enquires on how to join Grafton Pony Club can be sent to the secretary at gpcsecretary@outlook.com.
