With the end of the regular season almost upon us it is time to start thinking about getting your team together for GraftonHockey5s hosted by Sailors Hockey Club. GraftonHockey5s is a social comp run on a Tuesday night starting at approximately 6pm depending on the number of team nominations received. The comp will run every Tuesday night for 8 weeks starting October 13. Costs: $65/player payable before you play your first game. The fee this year covers the umpire payment (no extra charge). Registration: You can register at a Rego night Tuesday September 29 5pm – 6.30pm. If you did not play in the outdoor season and therefore do not have a current HNSW registration you will have register, this is an additional $46.98 for O18’s and $31.32 for U18’s to cover insurance and registration with HNSW. We will explain how to register and complete it on the Rego night. Rules: Half field competition. All games are 5 a side. Minimum of 5 and maximum of 9 players per team. Games are 20 minute halves. All teams can have a padded goal keeper (but can play just field players if the like). Modified Hockey 5’s rules will apply, please ask if you are not sure we will have rule at the tech benches each night. Umpires decisions are final. The aim is TO HAVE FUN, the comp is about fun and fitness for the off season and getting new players involved in this great sport! Comp details: We are hoping to have 3 grades – Junior, Social and Advanced. Junior is for Primary school children in years 4, 5 & 6. Social is for mixed teams of adults and children 12yrs and over or adults who are looking for a social comp. Advanced is serious – Mixed teams with skilled players looking for the challenge.
