The highlight of Grafton Golf this week was the win by Grafton’s Div 2 Pennant team win in the final of the Mid North Coast District Golf Association Pennant series. 

The Grafton team defeated the Bellingen team three matches to two, with the final hosted by the Woolgoolga golf Club.  

The winning players for Grafton were Matthew Worthing (3 & 2), David Morgan (3 & 2), Rohan Hackett (6 & 5) with Willow Harris and Jeff Hackett the remaining two players who contested the final. Throughout the series the remaining team members who contributed to the team’s ultimate success include Scott Brown, Michael Beehag, Jackson Wright and Bill Dudgeon. 

What is even more impressive is the last occasion that any Grafton Div 2 has won the final, was way back in 2002.  It is anticipated that this team will remain intact and have the opportunity to defend their title in 2022.
