A casualty of last weeks extraordinary rain was last Saturday’s Stableford, however no one really minded as the course was screaming out for some relief from the dry conditions.  In all, about 265mm of rain fell in just over 24 hours which equates to approximately 10 inches in the old scale.  With all our dams now filled to capacity, we now have water supplies for the remainder of the summer at least, which will save the Club something like $2000 a week.

For those who are wondering about the compulsory use of the mats on the course, they will remain in place for the foreseeable future. However that requirement may change with some restrictions, sooner rather than later.  Just keep an eye on the notice board at the Pro Shop for any changes in the conditions of play.

Due to the fact that there was no golf last Saturday, it was impossible to conduct Round 7 of the Bendigo Bank Summer Consistency competition. As a consequence that series will now be reduced to seven (7) rounds with just your five best scores to count. Weather permitting, the 7th and final round will be held this coming Saturday.

Those players interested in competing in the 2020 Mid North Coast District Championships, hosted by the Island Golf Club at Nambucca Heads, on February 16, nominations for that event are now open. The series is open to both individuals and teams Stroke event, with nominations to close on  February 15. A complete list detailing the conditions of play are up on the noticeboard. For further details relating to the event telephone 6569 4111.
