Race Week claimed a few bridge stalwarts however eight partnerships contested the honours. Top spot went to Cheryl Shanley and Pam Dougherty, ahead of Carolyn Seymour and Dennis Ford. Glad Durrington and Delma Frawley came third.

Friday July 12

Another four-table Howell game resulted in a big win for Heather Grant and Frank Campbell. Marion Leaver and Kerry Harding came second, followed by Peter McGruer and John Sheean.

Pat McLennan and Kerry Harding won in a three-table match, ahead of Jean Felton and Tiny Betts. Ian Huxley and Bev Kojac came third.
