Well the Grafton Chiropractic Centre Club Championships is off and running for 2016, and with a lot of run in the course and few trees to worry about low scores were the order of the day. The best score of the day was a fine 30 ½ nett by A Grade winner G Sharplin and B grade winner M Bonner closely followed by D Roberts 32 and J Casserly and D Morgan 33, very nice golf guys. I overheard a couple of A Graders say that with the condition of the course that they would have to hit sub par rounds to have any chance of winner so today’s scores are a good start. The Waterboys Club had another good day on Sunday with 6 more players taking out memberships. R Finch and G McInerney on the 1st with J Dick, S Carnley and G Mallison on the 7th and B McFarlane also on the 7th but Bob was playing the 9th hole. Welcome to the club Gentlemen. I was also told on Sunday that Gavan Smith is on the sick list, all the best from everyone at Royal Westlawn Gavan and we hope to see back feeling better very soon. Next Sunday will be a Stroke event for the 2nd Round of the Grafton Chiropractic Centre Club Championships. Starters will be W Hambly and R Jackson with K Rogan and C Husking handling the results. Sunday 29th May will be a Stroke event for the 3rd Round of the Grafton Chiropractic Centre Club Championships in conjunction with the Ron Wykes and Trevor Coleman sponsored Monthly Medal. Starters will be B McFarlane and P McFarlane with R Wykes and E Corkett handling the results. Dave Lynch
