Friends of Grafton Gallery guest speaker for March

The Friends of Graton Gallery actively support the Grafton Regional Gallery and especially financially support the Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing award.

Monthly mornings at the Gallery with a guest speaker are a pleasant and informative way to learn about not only the guest speaker but the work of FoGG.

The guest speaker on Wednesday March 15 from 10.30am to 12 noon will be Roslyn “Roz” Jones, Vice President of the Lawrence Museum.

The Lawrence Museum occupies the former 2NR broadcasting station a well-known landmark above the Bluff Point Ferry on the Clarence River.

Roz began volunteering at the Museum in 2014 but has a history of a busy career in Adelaide and Sydney after emigrating to Australia from the United Kingdom. Her experience as a Royal Navy air mechanic and photographer and business expertise has meant that many of the major developments of the Museum have flourished under her innovative guidance. These include the two-story wing and the redevelopment of the original radio transmission building and projects that support the Museum as a Community Hub supporting the local community.

She won the Museums and Galleries of NSW IMAGinE Award for Innovation and Resilience in 2021.

Join members of FoGG on Wednesday March 15 from 10.30am and meet this far sighted and dynamic speaker.

The cost of the talk is free, but bookings through Eventbrite are essential.
