Grafton trainer David Campbell celebrated the impressive win of six-year-old gelding Flying Euros at the annual Deepwater Cup race meeting on January 21.

Sent to the barriers the short-priced favourite in a five-horse field, Flying Euros jumped smartly under apprentice jockey Chelsea Hillier, who sent the son of Eurozone to the lead at the top of the home straight before racing clear to win Race 3, the Wiltshire & Co CRT Class 1 Handicap over 1400m, by half a length.

Following the race, the winning connections acknowledged the Deepwater Jockey Club for hosting the event and said they were pleased they stuck with the horse.

Flying Euros was among three Grafton trained gallopers who competed at the Deepwater Cup race meeting on the weekend.
