Flow stuns Maclean audiences

Hundreds of Clarence Valley locals enjoyed the stunning performance of Flow, a yarn about Yaegl country and its neighbouring nations, produced by NORPA for free at Maclean Showground on November 16 and 17, which was followed by three sold out performances in Lismore.

Inspired by the first native title claim on a body of water, Yaegl Bundjalung man Mitch King was joined on stage by sound artist Blake Rhodes, in the tale about a man’s search to discover more about local stories of cultural significance, which was directed by the Lower Clarence’s Jade Dewi Tyas Tunggal.

The multi art performance told the stories intertwined through dance, rap, poetry, visual art, video projection of Yaegl country and interviews with Elders, celebrating kinship, culture and connection and a strong message to care for country.
