Along with an impressive display of modern trends and colourful outfits, there were also lots of smiling faces among entrants in the 2023 Maclean Bowling Club Kids and Family Fashions on the Field.

With plenty of winter sunshine setting the scene on July 16, it was a tricky task for the judges to choose the winners and runners-up in each category.

Winners of the Best Dressed Family, the Dons from Yamba, said they enjoyed putting on their best attire and heading trackside for the races, describing it as a great day out for their little ones Pippa and Fletcher, who also entered Fashions on the Field.

“They had fun, and that’s the main thing,” said proud mum Katrina Don.
