Disability Inclusion Action Plan survey

There’s still time to have your say on Clarence Valley Council’s new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP). Community consultation, including an online survey, close on 2 April 2023.

Hundreds of Clarence Valley residents including people with disability, family and friend of people with disability, carers, service providers and other community members have already contributed feedback and ideas to help make the Clarence Valley better for people with disability.

To have your say visit www.clarenceconversations.com.au/disability-inclusion-action-plan and complete the survey.

The DIAP survey seeks community feedback on four focus areas specific to disability inclusion:

  • Developing positive community attitudes and behaviours.

  • Creating liveable communities.

  • Supporting access to meaningful employment.

  • Improving access to mainstream services through better systems and processes.

Once consultation wraps up, a draft DIAP will be prepared including proposed actions and outcomes.

Clarence Valley residents will have another opportunity to give more feedback later in the year, when the draft DIAP goes on public exhibition.
