Renowned for their hard work and generosity, members of the Grafton Community Shed have raised $1000 for the Grafton Breast Cancer Support Group through a special Mother’s Day raffle.

Featuring a variety of prizes, including some beautiful trinkets and treasures, all handmade by members of the Grafton Community Shed, along with gift packs and vouchers kindly donated by a number of local businesses, the Mother’s Day raffle was well supported by the Clarence Valley community and was drawn on May 9.

Geoff Frankcon (1st), Julie Jamieson (2nd), Wendy Rhodes (3rd), Katrina Geary (4th), and Mark Hayne (5th), were announced as the major prize winners.

Following the draw Janette Nethercott from the Grafton Breast Cancer Support Group was presented with a cheque for $1000 on behalf of the Grafton Community Shed.

All proceeds raised from the raffle will go directly towards assisting local women who are currently battling this devastating disease.

The Grafton Community Shed would also like to acknowledge Max Lloyd and Michael Jameson for all their hard work in organising prizes and selling tickets for the Mother’s Day raffle and thank everyone who purchased a ticket.
