Community information sessions for the Rushforth Water Treatment Plant upgrades

Clarence Valley Council will hold two community information sessions on Thursday March 21 for the proposed Rushforth Water Treatment Plant upgrades.

The Rushforth Water Treatment Plant has been servicing the Clarence Valley Council Local Government Area for over a century, and Council is now seeking planning approval to upgrade the plant to ensure ongoing water quality, capacity and security of potable water for residents.

The planning approval process includes the development of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which is a detailed report that investigates the potential environmental, heritage, social and economic impacts of the proposed upgrades.

Community engagement forms an important part of the EIS process as feedback from the community and other key stakeholders is used to inform the project design and planning phase.

Community Information Session Details:
Date: Thursday 21 March 2024
Times: Session A: 1:00pm – 2:00pm – Session B: 4:30pm – 7:30pm

If you are unable to make one of these session times you are still welcome to engage with the project and can direct any questions or concerns to rushfortheis@clarence.nsw.gov.au
