Lynne Mowbray This year the Coles Yamba Christmas charity drive is supporting RizeUp, which provides practical support to women and families affected by domestic and family violence.   Local co-ordinator for RizeUp Sonia Deakin said that this year RizeUp have assisted 25 displaced families who have sought refuge from domestic violence, within the Clarence Valley. “We are hoping to assist around 60 local families to have a good Christmas day, by way of donations of non perishable food items for a Christmas lunch,” Ms Deakin said. “At the moment in the Clarence Valley we don’t have any displaced males, only women and children. “Gift items of toys for the children and makeup, beauty items and gift packs for the mums, are also welcome,” she said. Please support this wonderful Christmas charity by donating items at the collection point near the Christmas tree in front of the Coles Supermarket Service Desk, at Yamba Shopping Fair, in Treelands Drive, Yamba.
