Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from today on the Gwydir Highway near Ramornie to carry out safety improvement work about 20 kilometres west of Grafton. Traffic will be reduced to one lane, alternating flow, while road widening, resurfacing and other safety work is carried out to provide a safer road for motorists that will last well into the future. Work will be carried out from 7am to 6pm on weekdays and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays, and is expected to be completed by the end of April, weather permitting. Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists. Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control. Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
