Celebrate the reason for the season

In true Catholic tradition, Maclean Catholic Parish is celebrating Christmas this year with masses at Maclean, Yamba and Iluka. Parish Priest of St Mary’s Parish, Fr Peter Padsungay said that Christmas Mass is always a beautiful and holy event to celebrate the birth of Jesus. “Christmas Mass is always popular and we welcome all members of our community to come to celebrate this most incredible and holy Feast day,” said Fr Peter. On Christmas Eve, Mass will be celebrated at Maclean at 7pm, Iluka at 4:30pm and Yamba at 6.30pm. “Our Mass on Christmas Eve at Maclean will be under our ‘Big Top’ allowing us to enjoy the beautiful Summer evening,” said Fr Peter. On Christmas Day, Masses will be celebrated at Yamba at 8am and Maclean at 8.30am. “Christmas is an incredibly joyful time and our Christmas Masses, in particular, are uplifting and inspiring,” said Fr Peter. Christmas can also be a difficult time for people who are alone or away from their loved ones and the Christmas Masses remind us that there is always light. “Christmas is a time for spiritual nourishment and we welcome everyone to come and join us for Mass this year,” said Fr Peter.
