The streets of Grafton will be a bit quieter this June long weekend, due to the cancellation of this year’s ‘Big weekend of Trucking’.

Grafton Truck Drivers Social Club president Tim Wright said that the annual event had to be cancelled, due to a lack of members to help organise and run the event.

“It was a tough decision, but we are hoping to get things back up and running next year,” Mr Wright said.

“We are hoping that we may be able to have a few trucks on display at the Grafton Vintage Motor Vehicle Club’s Motorfest in August, so stay tuned for more details in the coming months,” he said.
