Our game last Sunday was held at Iluka on a fine Sunday morning. Thank you to the Iluka club for looking after us on the day. A 2-person Ambrose withdrawn partners provided an interesting mix of teams.

Results

Winners were Paul Dwyer and Rodney Want with an impressive nett 30. Robbie Leek provided plenty of encouragement to Tim Petterson enabling them to take out second spot with a nett 33. Third place went to the team of Peter Pritchard and Terry Dwyer (nett 34) just nudging out Colin and Judy Want who settled for fourth place with a nett 34¹/₄.

NTP to Peter and Terry; longest drive to Robbie and Tim; drive and pitch to Smithy and Jean Meaney; least putts came down to a c/b with Rod and Paul beating Keith Miller and Rick Want (13 putts).

Best wishes to our fellow member Colleen Ortlipp who is recovering from knee surgery.

After the game we enjoyed a sausage sizzle perfectly cooked by chef Paul. Also thank you to Vivian (and Rosie) for the preparation work. We briefly discussed our weekend away to Macksville (November 27-28). As you all know we hold the ‘Brushgrove Classic’ over two rounds on this weekend. More details to follow on this trip, but start checking your diary and let me know if you want to join us.
