The ‘Artists of the Month’ program continues to be a huge success at headspace Grafton. This month our April artist is… April. April’s work is on display in the foyer and features a combination of paints, pen, charcoal and materials.

The Artist of the Month program is open to anyone aged between 12-25. Each featured artist receives a $100 voucher from Bentleg to purchase their own art supplies, and the opportunity to show their art works at other local galleries.  

For young people in particular, creating art is very rewarding as it provides a healthy way to self-express, cope, and create. By making art our creative process is utilised which ‘promote growth, self-expression, emotional reparation, conflict resolution, and transformation’ (Malchiodi, 2007). And… it can be done at any time, with friends, or individually.
