It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lion Amanda Bennett, who passed away peacefully on 25th April 2024.
Amanda was a much-loved wife to Peter and a loved big sister to Simon & Edwina. Amanda was involved in the Yamba Lions club for 29 years serving alongside her husband in various fund-raising activities. The moment women were able to become members she became one of the first female members of the club progressing to become a director of the Yamba Lions Club.
Amanda was passionate about making a difference in her local community and didn’t allow her wheelchair to stop her serving her beloved Yamba community, whether that was at the monthly local markets, Thursday morning pancakes at local caravan parks during school holidays, Fishing Festivals, and many local charity events. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Amanda’s celebration of life will be held at Riverview Funerals Chapel – 62 Wooli St Yamba at 10:30am. All welcome.
