A Regional Playground?
Ed,
Council has come up with some pretty loopy ideas, but spending $180,000 on a “regional playground” in Grafton has to be right up there with the best of them, particularly when they demolished the playground in Cameron Park Maclean a year ago and don’t seem to be able to find the funding to replace it.
Putting a “regional” label on ANY infrastructure should mean it is centrally located to allow relatively easy access by ALL Valley residents.
One would have thought that after acknowledging that Grafton was too far away from Iluka to allow residents to view the Lot 162 Subdivision proposal, even the dullest of administrators would realise that Grafton isn’t the logical location for a “regional” anything. But a “regional” playground? Give us a break!
