Racing ahead with day five action

Several quality fields including a number of prominent locals will jump from the boxes during day five of the Grafton Greyhound Racing Club’s 2023 July Racing Carnival on July 12.

One of the feature events on the program, the Village Green Hotel Sprinters Cup Final over 450m, has attracted a strong field of contenders including Impress Dressel, who qualified fastest when recording a slick time of 25.29 seconds to take out Heat 3 on July 5 in the lead up to the final.

Popular Clarence Valley trainer Sonia Kempshall will also be well represented in the feature event by Master Class, and Flying Zinger, who qualified in Heats 2 and 3, respectively.

The Stayers Cup, run over 660m will also boast an impressive field of contenders on the night including Carroway and High Range.

Worth $12000 to the winner, the event is one of the highlights of the Grafton Greyhound Racing Club’s 2023 July Racing Carnival.

Other races to be run on the night include the Fair Dinkum Builds @ Sheds CV Maiden Final over 450m.

CEO of the Grafton Greyhound Racing Club Brennan Naidoo said it is great to see the locals performing well on their home track, adding the carnival has been well supported this year, adding several Clarence Valley trainers have already enjoyed plenty of success.

The Grafton Greyhound Racing Club will host a second race meeting this week on July 14.
