10 years in Yamba Evening VIEW Club

Ever wanted to know about cane toads? The good ,the bad, the ugly… well our guest speaker this month is Scott Lenton, who is volunteer co-ordinator of CVIA Landcare, he will be speaking to us about the Yamba toad collection.

We will meet at our usual venue, Yamba Shores Tavern on Monday November 11 at 6pm for a 7pm start.

Please contact Genie Drummond, email: genie.drummond@gmail.com or phone 0415 312 725, with your acceptance or apology no later than Wednesday

November 6.

The social meet this month was at Yamba Bowling Club, always a good attendance as its cocktail hour! We alternate with morning tea outings, it’s a great way to spread a little fun and friendship.

We have three members in our club who have recently been presented with their 10 years in VIEW Club badges, Noreen Macindoe, Karen Toms and Barbara Mahoney-Smith. Congratulations girls.

Did you know that together with The Smith Family ‘Learning For Life Program’ we  support seven disadvantaged Australian children?

Going to school and having a uniform, shoes, books, excursions etc is an insurmountable expense for some, by being a member of a VIEW Club (and there are many of them all over the country), you can help ease this burden.

Simply by enjoying a lovely dinner, buying a couple of raffle tickets, you help someone in need, can’t think of anything more worthwhile than giving a child the chance to be educated.

Remember: If opportunity doesn’t knock…build a door.
