10 years for Pacific Valley Christian School

It is important to remember and celebrate the big events in life. Last week marks a very special moment in the life of our school. On 23rd March 2009, a little school consisting of two teachers, one office staff and twenty-four students situated on land borrowed from the Lower Clarence Baptist Church was recognised by the governing bodies. This new school called Pacific Valley Christian School was born.

Our school has an amazing story of favour from both God and the community. As we look towards the future, it is important for us to remember where we have come from. Last Monday, our student body celebrated our 10th Birthday. We told the story of the last decade explaining how God has continued to bless us with students, resources, a beautiful 22 acres and most recently the purchase and handover of the section of Edinburgh Drive situated in the centre of our school. Our existing original students discuss their biggest memories, all the change that they have seen and what they would like to see in the next decade. We finished the assembly with Mrs Chris West and Mrs Ailsa Schilling, both original staff members, cut the birthday cake which the students enjoyed at lunch.

As a school community, we plan to have a bigger celebration later in the year as we continue to aim to bring Glory to God in all that we do. We hope that you can join us.
