Yamba Museum invites you to their ‘Open Day’

Why were the breakwaters built?
What is the connection to Ulgundahi for Yaegl people?
Why is Tommy Walker recognised as the first surfer in Australia?

You can find answers to these local questions this Saturday June 1 at Yamba Museum’s OPEN DAY. It’s your chance to find out what goes on at the Museum – at the front desk and in the back room. You can also talk to members about how you could help as a volunteer.

The Museum has extended its opening hours from 10am to 4.30pm so everyone in the community can drop by and wander around the display rooms that tell the stories of Yamba and the district. Volunteer members will be available for a chat as you have a coffee or tea. A gold coin donation would be appreciated as the usual $5 entry fee will be waived.

Date: Saturday June 1 from 10am – 4.30pm at Yamba Museum, River Street Yamba – next to the golf club.
