Yamba men’s bowls

The second State of Origin lawn bowls challenge was played on Friday June 25 as part of normal men’s social bowls.

Again, the Rest of the World secured a narrow seven rinks to five win over New South Wales. The Rest of the World currently leads the series with an aggregate total of 14 rinks to ten. The final match in this year’s State of Origin series will be a pairs challenge as part of men’s social bowls on Wednesday July 14. The pairs format for the final round could provide ample opportunity for New South Wales to secure enough rinks for victory, if they are good enough. Visitors are welcomed to be part of this challenge.

Men’s social bowls continues on Wednesday and Friday. All games commence at 1 pm and nominations can be made by telephoning the bowls office on 6646 8669 or by recording participation details on the nomination sheet adjacent to the bowls office prior to 11.30 am on the intended day of play.
