Yamba Men’s Bowling Club farewells bowls coordinator Don Freeman

Friday December 17 saw Don Freeman end an almost nine-year tenure as bowls coordinator at Yamba Bowling Club

There is no doubt that Dons time as bowls coordinator has without question enhanced bowls at the Yamba Club significantly with his tremendous organisational skills leading to a first-class bowls program. But just as importantly his ability to make all bowlers feel so very welcome, whether members or visitors, is one of his most enduring traits and very much appreciated by all those he came in contact with during his role as coordinator

Yamba Bowling Clubs bowling fraternity wish both Don and his lovely wife and sidekick Gabby the very best for the future and they will always be welcomed with open arms at the club.

Stepping into the bowls coordinator’s role will be long term member and bowler Peter Forrester whose states his aim is to continue the wonderful bowls program initiated by Don whilst also encouraging a continuing pleasurable bowls experience for all bowlers within the club and visitors alike

Our social bowls will continue over the holiday period with mixed triples bowls on Tuesday mornings under the guidance of Ros Moore as well as the usual men’s Wednesday Pairs and Fridays Triples

All the bowling fraternity at Yamba want to wish all bowlers from clubs within the Clarence Region a very merry Christmas and safe and happy new year.
