Yamba lady bowlers hoping for an uninterrupted year

A new year is like a clean slate for our bowling year.

Question is – who will be our Champions this year? Will we be successful in our District and State events? But more importantly, will we be able to have uninterrupted bowls with COVID on the back foot?

It’s been a rough road for the last couple of years for everyone – but here we are again ready for the coming year and enjoying our sport as we do. Wishing all our members and also our friends in our Clarence River District, a year to make us forget our woes and continue on with the pure enjoyment of our sport.

To kick off our women’s bowls social year there were 20 contenders enjoying our greens.

Hearty thanks must go to our hard-working Chair of Selectors Roz Moore for keeping the mixed bowls running on a Tuesday throughout the break. Also, Roz ran the barefoot bowls for Australia Day. Well done, Roz.
