Yamba ladies golf Monthly Medal

Last Wednesday’s Monthly Medal round attracted a field of 57 ladies.

Jo King was the best of the day, winning almost everything possible in her grade. Jane Bonner (A Grade), Jo King (B Grade) and Jane Anderson (C Grade) were the Monthly Medal winners.

In A Grade, the nett winner was Jane Bonner (77 c/b). Darrie Nightingale (77 c/b) was the gross and putting (29) winner. The nett r/up was Marg Fishburn (77 c/b). Jo King was the nett (69), gross (99) and putting (29).

B Grade nett r/up was Carolyn Chester (75).

In C Grade, Jane Anderson was the nett (72) and gross winner (109). The nett r/up was Jacky Penfold (75) and Margery Allison won the putting (31). The overall best putting (Cafe Marina voucher) was won by Jo King.

Balls were awarded to 79 c/b nett.

Prue McLaughlin was a happy winner of the Wednesday 9-hole competition with 16pts.

Friday’s Single Stableford had 34 ladies who played in perfect golfing weather.

The new NTP were christened and given a solid tick of approval. The winner was Val Pate (35pts) while r/up and third place were awarded to Kathy Lollback (34pts) and Jacky Penfold (33pts). Balls were awarded to 31 pts c/b.

Our NTP winners were: Flots and Jets 3rd: Val Pate; Valley Finance 3rd (2nd): Jo Foley; SeaFire Restaurant Voucher 9th (2nd): Darrie Nightingale; Kitchen to Table 10th: Tina-Louise Downes; Peter Campbell Physio 10th (2nd): Lynne Eke; Amie Rose Beauty 12th: Jeanne Jensen; Nicholson Fine Foods 17th: NA and Yamba Pharmacy 17th (2nd): Angela Walpole.

Cool conditions greeted the 12 ladies who played in last Saturday’s competition. Jill Brown excelled, winning with 36pts. Mary Hogan followed closely with 35pts. Jill also won the NTP, sponsored by SeaFire Restaurant.
