Yamba ladies Championships Round 1

Wednesday’s Single Stableford and final round prior to Friday’s Championships had 65 players.

Results

Div 1 winner was Mary Hogan (35pts) who was followed closely by Fiona Smart (34pts).

Div 2 player, Julie Campbell, posted the best score of the day (39pts) while Lyn Ford was r/up with 35pts.

Div 3 was a closely fought affair. Susan Boyce (37pts c/b) came in to beat Ann Schuhmacher (37pts).

NTP sponsors and winners were, Sassafras 3rd – Mary Hogan; Yamba Florist, Debbie May 3rd (2nd) – Jo King; SeaFire Restaurant voucher – Sandra Wallace; Yamba Fair Butchery 10th – Val Pate; Leonie May Millinery 10th (2nd) – Jacky Penfold; The Shoe Boutique 12th – Lesley Love; Clovelly Fashions, Maclean 17th – Vicki Davies and The Wobbly Chook 17th (2nd) – Lynne Donsworth. Balls were awarded to 31pts.
The Nine-Hole competition winner in a field of nine was Jolanda Scott with her impressive score of 20pts. Annie Green was the NTP winner.

Friday’s Stroke round and Round 1 of the 2023 Championships involved 61 players. The Championship results are displayed in the ladies’ locker room.

Div 1 Nett winner was Grafton visitor, Sue Petty (72). The Nett r/up was Glen Czarnota (77 c/b). Gross winner was junior star player, Tana Lowe (90). Putting was won by Jenny Moody (25 putts).

Lisa Marsh, who has only recently qualified as a Div 2 player, had a blinding hot round, winning Nett (69) and Gross (101). The Nett r/up was Jean Whitby (75 c/b) and the Putting was won by Kim Lipscombe (29 putts).

In Div 3, Jo Foley (74) was the Nett winner and Gross winner (109). Sandra Russo (75) was the Nett r/up and Grafton visitor, Cheryl Creighton, took out the putting.

Balls were awarded to 78 Nett c/b.

NTP winners were Flots and Jets 3rd – Tana Lowe; Valley Finance 3rd (2nd) – Nadene Carroll; SeaFire Restaurant 9th (2nd) – Jean Whitby; Kitchen to Table 10th – Marg Fishburn; Peter Campbell Physio 10th (2nd) – Cheryl Creighton; Amie Rose Beauty 12th – Glen Czarnota; Nicholson Fine Foods 17th – Marg Fishburn and Yamba Pharmacy 17th (2nd) – Lynne Donsworth.
