Yamba Day VIEW Club

Ho, ho, ho, Christmas is once again upon us, let us be grateful we are Australians and are able to celebrate the passing of a difficult year.

Our Christmas luncheon and further luncheon bookings have been changed, which means we are now required to have the numbers into the club Wednesday December 9. A price increase has also been passed by the board, which makes the December 14 luncheon $28, other meetings less. So please, if you need to cancel, ring Lyn as we will now have to pay the number ordered. Members, please check if your name is on the casual or permanent list with Lyn on 6646 3164.

Our guest speaker will be Noel Charles with his inspirational poetry, a pleasure to listen to, we thank Noel and look forward to his selection, with a 10am start with drinks, please try to attend to keep the club active and operational.

Members were saddened to say farewell to Chef Craig, as he has been a great supporter of the purpose of our organisation, which is raising finance to support the Learning for Life programme by the Smith Family. More and more families are struggling at the present time and to render assistance, not only benefits the child but the whole family.

Craig has assisted the four VIEW clubs in the Clarence Valley in his support for our International Women’s Day function, and at all times, he has been a pleasure to work with.

Members wish him every success in his next venture, so ladies if you need your driveways pressure cleaned or small jobs undertaken, Craig is our man.

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.
