A new executive has been elected for the Yamba Chamber of Commerce bringing new blood and fresh ideas to the town’s business community.

The Chamber of Commerce held is annual general meeting on October 23, at Yamba Cinema, with discussion surrounding the revival of the Yamba Chamber post Covid and the election of a new executive to steer the organisation into 2024.

Over the past 12 months a number of new businesses have opened in Yamba and some businesses have changed hands, providing the business community with new offerings for customers and a fresh injection of enthusiasm.

At the Annual General Meeting, members commented about the changing business landscape of Yamba and the need for the next generation of business owners to become involved in the Chamber and provide new ideas to boost business in the town.

Members then elected the new executive for 2023-24, and there is always room for new members to assist the executive and the committee.

The new Yamba Chamber of Commerce executive is:

President: Larnie Germain

Vice-President: Alison Sloley

Secretary: Toni Ball

Treasurer: Rick Angelo

Committee: Debbie McCredie, Bev Mansfield, James Allen.

The Yamba Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all of the local businesses who generously donated prizes for the 2023 Yamba Rod Run Hot Rod Trail, plus all of the Hot Rodders and the people from the Clarence Valley and beyond who took part in the promotion.

More than $2500 worth of prizes were donated by 30 local businesses and the winners were announced by the Chamber at Ford Park during the annual Show and Shine.

Any businesses who donated prizes and aren’t currently members of the Yamba Chamber of Commerce are encouraged to join and provide input on Chamber ideas and initiatives.
