Truss delivery postponed out of Sydney

Departure of the 42 metre long steel truss destined for Grafton has been postponed. It is expected the transportation of the huge structure will occur this coming weekend, weather permitting.

The truss was due to be transported by truck up the M1 and Pacific Highway between Sydney and Grafton under police escort from early this morning.

The second half of the bridge is expected to make the same journey a week later.

The steel trusses will form a new rail bridge in Grafton, over Pound Street between Kent and Clarence streets.
