Jai Kazda’s (pictured) skilful evasion of his opposition led to a try being scored by one of his teammates at the Lower River Gala Touch Day at Yamba last Friday. His team, which was a senior entry from Iluka Public School, drew 3-3 with Maclean Public School during one of the round-robin fixtures. Twelve lower river schools participated in the gala day, at which 39 junior and 39 senior teams competed. Chatsworth Island Public School was the winner, with Yamba second and Tucabia third.
