The letter headed ‘Disappearing Library Space” from Mr Ian Warlters, Yamba (CVI 30/11/22) is not factual. 

Mr Warlters is also an executive member of Yamba CAN. 

His claim the library Space is to be REDUCED in size by 361 sq mt down to shoebox size library of 31.9 sq mt, is rubbish. That’s the nicest way I can put it.

What’s worrying is, he verifies his information, came from a November business paper presented to council. That is also not true. 

I usually would not bother bringing this to your attention. I’ve learnt just because you read something in the paper doesn’t mean it is true.

I say that without criticism, it’s just a fact. 

However, what concerns me as a councillor and the Chair of the Clarence Regional Library is that Mr Warlters will be believed.
