Theo Sheppard takes Maclean Vets golf

Forty-two (42) players hit the course again on Monday of last week. Conditions looked slightly ominous early, but the skies cleared and made for another great day of golf.

The winner was the young Theo Sheppard who came in with 38 points. Theo took home the $40 voucher as well as the much-valued Cutter and Buck engraved pen. He just managed to outpoint r/up Des Plunkett in a tightly fought countback. Des is going through a bit of a purple patch in the last couple of weeks so that handicap must be coming down.

Winner of the free game with 37 points was Steve South. Good to see Steve in the winner’s circle.

Club balls were won by Veronique Morgan and Leigh Barrington – 36, Richard Parker and Kate Hemmy with 35 points, Matt Young, Lance Pedrana, Mark Hemmy and Chris Blackman all with 34 points and Clive McLachlan, John Carlton and Geoff Grayson all with 33 points.

We will continue with the time sheet format for at least the next couple of weeks and see how things pan out over this period. Hopefully, we will get back to the shotgun start format in the not distant future.
