Terrorists by any other name
Ed,
The Belgian lawyer of the Paris “terrorist” charged with the Paris attack has described him as “having the intelligence of an empty ashtray”.
A man charged with complicity in the murder of Curtis Cheng gives an ISIS salute in a Sydney court. A 16 year old tries to buy a gun from an undercover police officer in the lead-up to ANZAC Day. I really don’t think any of these people should be charged with a terrorism related offense.
Rather, there needs to be new indictable offense of “Criminal Stupidity” with the same penalties attached. These people just aren’t bright enough to even qualify as “terrorists”.
