South Grafton PS – Performing Arts Concerts

This week has been another very exciting, busy week at South Grafton Public School.

Congratulations to Meg, Aiden and Joseph who attended the North Coast cross country carnival on Monday. Our students tried their very best and our school is very proud of them reaching this level.

Recently we held our finals of the NSW Premier’s Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking competition in our primary hall. All of our students presented very high quality speeches. Congratulations to our Stage 3 winners – Chloe and Emma and our Stage 2 winners – Lilly and Tamika. They will now represent our school at the North Coast local final to be held at Evans River Community School this Friday 18th June. Well done everyone.

Last Wednesday we held two outstanding Performing Arts Concerts in our primary hall to showcase our amazing talented students and staff to our community. The concert included all of our dance troupes, school band, choirs, recorder group, infants instrumental group, Demonstration Skipping Team and several classes with verse speaking. Once again our students have shone and shown how talented they are across a range of genres. A big thank you to our community who were able to attend and support our students who were very excited to perform in front of a large audience.

A reminder to parents of students who are participating in the Mid North Coast Public Schools 2021 Dance Festival to be held at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus on Tuesday and Wednesday June 22-23, tickets are now on sale and the link is on our Facebook page.

Good luck to Bridgette who is a member of the North Coast PSSA soccer team who is participating in the NSWPSSA Primary Football (Soccer) Girls Championship in Sydney this week. We also wish Mr Newman all the best as the coach of this team.
