Small Business Month in the Clarence Valley

November is NSW Small Business Month, and small businesses in the Clarence Valley will get the chance to attend an in-person workshop that will have them kicking new goals in 2023.

The event – Digital Masterclass: The Essential Small Business Workshop – focuses on practical and easy steps to adapt and grow their business in the digital economy. It is suitable for retailers and tourism businesses, tradies, and professional businesses.

The FREE workshop is being held at Treelands Drive Community Centre in Yamba on Wednesday November 30. It is hosted by the Clarence Valley Council in partnership with Enterprise Plus and the Australian Small Business Advisory Service (ASBAS).

ASBAS Digital Advisor, Robyn Simon, said that the workshop will help small business operators gain the skills, confidence, and know-how to manage their online presence in the digital world.

“The digital environment is constantly changing so we cover the essential steps that will strengthen their business and the reasons why. We also provide them with an overview of how customer behaviours are changing and how they can adapt their response to better connect with and engage their customers,” said Ms Simon.

All participating businesses have the opportunity of a complimentary one on one session after the event with an accredited small business advisor.

“The complimentary one on one session means that business operators can discuss their unique set of circumstances, and thus develop a more customised response for their customers,” said Ms Simon.
