The countdown has begun.

For some, it’s the thrill of chasing one another in dodgem cars, winning prizes in sideshow alley, indulging in buckets of fairy floss, and picking out the coolest showbags to take home.

For others, it’s the excitement of watching the traditional grand parade in the main arena, and browsing the extensive collection of exhibits including handicrafts, fashions, schoolwork, floral arrangements, cooking, decorated cakes, and photography on display in the T.J. Ford Pavilion, affectionately nicknamed The Barn.

As Clarence Valley residents and visitors to the region prepare to head to the 2023 Grafton Show, organisers are once again anticipating large turnouts for the popular annual event and are encouraging families to head to the showground on April 28 and 29 to experience one of the best events of the year.

After welcoming a high number of attendees through the gates in 2022, Grafton Show President Rex Green said he is hopeful of seeing more smiling faces and plenty of enthusiasm return to the showground this year.

“2022 was a great success, especially on the back of Covid-19, and we’re all looking ahead and looking forward to enjoying further success at the Grafton Show in 2023,” he said.
