Schaeffer House Museum, located at 190 Fitzroy Street, Grafton, is presently closed for renovations and scheduled to reopen on August 29.
President of the Clarence River Historical Society (CRHS) Steve Tranter said the museum is undergoing a complete makeover, and in the meantime, research inquiries will still be attended to via phone and email.
Following completion of the renovations, the museum will be open each Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, between 1-4pm.
