Palmers Island Public School are looking forward to welcoming a large crowd on the weekend when they host their fourth annual Family Fun Day on August 26.
Featuring close to 30 market stalls, food vendors, music, dance performances, a balloon artist, dog agility demonstrations, and two mesmerising shows by ‘Drace the Magician and Illusionist’, attendees will also have some extra fun at the pie-in-the-face booth where they will be able throw a cream pie or two at a family member or friend.
Some local personalities including the school principal and a number of students will also be auctioning their faces to raise money for the school at the pie-in-the-face booth.
Palmers Island Public School P&C President, Belinda Novicky, said events like the upcoming Family Fun Day are wonderful for local schools and the Clarence Valley community, describing them as a wonderful way for schools to build their collective spirit, engage with the local community and community groups, and fundraise.
“We are fortunate that for a small school we have a committed P&C Association with lots of hardworking mums and dads working behind the scenes to put the event on,” she said.
“It’s not just the P&C, but the principal, teachers, and students who all lend a hand to put on a successful Family Fun Day.”
Entry to the Family Fun Day is free.
Attendees are kindly encouraged to bring cash and expect to have a whole lot of old-fashioned fun.
Palmers Island Public School also wish to acknowledge their sponsors Yamba Pest Control, Yamba Diamond Martial Arts, Yamba Golf & Country Club, Spectrum Signs, Lawrence Tavern, LJ Hooker Maclean, The Cottage Takeaway, and Affordable Recycling Solutions in the lead up to their Family Fun Day this year.
