Quota International of LC Craft Fair

Put Saturday 1st October 2016 in your diary. Quota of Lower Clarence will be holding its 13th Annual Craft Fair. It will be a one day event – Saturday only this year. Coordinators, Ann and Sharman have gathered a superb group of makers who will bring along their wares. And once again there will be a huge craft fair raffle with the major prize being a Weber, plus numerous other prizes. Have you ever wondered what happens to the funds raised at our Fairs? One of the recipients of funds raised from last year’s Craft Fair was Maclean, Iluka, Yamba Community Health. Quota was able to fund the purchase of an electronic measure and scale for use in the Lower Clarence area by the nurses. Gai Wiseman, the Infant’s Community Sister said that the new equipment has been well used as she moves around the area for home visits, as well as when mothers and babies attend the Clinic at Treelands Drive, Jim Agnew, and Medical Centre. Gai showed Quota members a set of manual scales that Quota of Lower Clarence had donated to Community Health, over 20 years ago and they are still in use. To be in the running to win the Weber BBQ or one of the great raffle prizes make sure you purchase your tickets from Quota members who will be selling tickets at Yamba Markets on Sunday 28th August. Tickets will also be on sale at the Craft Fair with the raffle being drawn on 1st. This year the recipient of the funds raised at the raffle will be Disable Surfers. For more information about Quota and its programs contact Wendy on 6646 9883. Quota meets at Yamba Bowling Club Boardroom at 6pm on 2nd Tuesday of each month. After the meeting we enjoy dinner in the Norfolk Bistro. Suzanne Monin
