Osprey RSL Day Club

I am so happy to report that our numbers have almost reached the magic 40 mark, and I believe there are two new visitors coming next week to check us out. Isn’t that wonderful? There are a couple of members who find doing alternate weeks works for them as they can still keep up their other social activities and have the best of both worlds. And that’s an excellent idea because it is our social life and friendships which keep us active, interesting and informed individuals.

Also last week we welcomed two new visitors Maureen and Leona. We do hope you enjoyed your day with us and that you will be back again to make new friendships within our Club. It was so nice to meet you both; it was as if I had known you forever.

It was great to see Kath back again too. We missed you.

Last week we had to move from the River Boat Room into the auditorium to allow for a booked function, but we will be back in our normal venue this coming Friday. It is just so much more comfortable and conducive to good conversation around the big round tables isn’t it?

We also have a fun day coming up which will involve a game of croquet and lunch in the open air. Now don’t shy away from the croquet. It is the most fantastic game and you will enjoy it. Remember when we played on that fabulous picnic day we had at Brooms Head? Everyone got up and had a go and then I couldn’t get the mallets off you! Naturally we will tell you more about that as the day gets closer.

Shirley won the Lucky Door. Peggy and June won the $20 Coles shopping vouchers.

If you want to join this fun group then we are just a phone call away. Leanne will give you all the details you need, and organise the free bus to and from your home if required, call 0413 101 518.
