Yamba Bowlo croquet play Pottsville

Wednesday November 22

A big roll up of 27 players arrived at the Bowling Club last Wednesday morning all set for a good morning of socialising, laughter and croquet.

There was a lot of discussion following a most enjoyable day at Pottsville. It is a beautiful setting, croquet courts are well set out and maintained, making it an excellent spot to visit for a great day of croquet. Pottsville club looked after us well supplying a delicious lunch followed by some very nice home cooked cakes.

Helen finally had to part with the Sheriff’s Badge when Gail hit the first hoop to hoop shot and managed to wear it for 5 minutes only to be relieved of it by John. Chris, Leigh, Helen, Ray K and Eric had to part with a $2 fine each for hitting the centre post.

Yamba Bowlo croquet will have the final day of play for this year on Wednesday December 13 followed by the Christmas party to be held at the Bowling Club – play will resume on Wednesday January 10.
