Minnie Water waste transfer station opening next week

Clarence Valley Council has installed a new waste transfer station in Minnie Water which will be operational from March 17.

The waste transfer station is designed to receive small quantities of household waste from Minnie Water and the surrounding communities of Wooli, Sandon River and Pillar Valley. The station will be staffed on Wednesdays and Sundays each week between the hours of 10am and 1pm.

 

The following items may be dropped off during opening hours:

  • General household waste (<1 tonne).
  • Sorted household recyclables – glass*, plastic*, aluminium *
  • Greenwaste (<1 tonne)
  • Steel
  • Cardboard *
  • Whitegoods
  • Oil (cooking and motor oil) up to 20lt *
  • Gas bottles*
  • Paint *
  • Batteries (automotive and household)*

 

Items marked with an* are free to drop off. All other items will attract a fee. Please refer to council’s fees and charges for information.

Waste weighing more than one tonne will need to be taken to the Grafton Regional Landfill, 704 Armidale Road, South Grafton.
