On Tuesday July 26 members of Maclean Women’s Bowling welcomed a visitor, Alison Schmid from Tathra. A game of L J Hooker triples was played. The winners, with the highest winning margin, were D Newton, L Radlingmayr and C Power who defeated M Combley, J Hayward and C Byrum 28-12. President Margaret thanked Ken Giese from L J Hooker for their continued support in sponsoring these games four times a year. Mr Giese spoke briefly about improvements in Maclean and his optimism for the future. There is a sheet on the board for the Minor Singles due to start on Tuesday August 16 with entries closing next Monday August 8. New members and those who have not previously won a Major or Minor Singles are urged to enter to make it a worthwhile competition. There is also a sheet up for the Consistency Singles starting on Tuesday September 1 and closing on Monday August 22.
